Kaiden's life was forever changed by abuse, yet whose spirit continues to inspire strength, hope, and love. Our mission is to raise awareness about the life long impact of child abuse while helping Kaiden recieve the specialized medical care, therapies, and opportunities he deserves. Through community support, fundraising, and advocacy, Kaiden's Kourage stands as a reminder that healing is possible, that no child should suffer in silence, and that together we can turn tragedy into triumph.
KAIDEN'S STORY
FROM HOSPITAL TO HOPE
Kaiden is a true testament to what GOD can do. Abused by birth parents and not expected to live 48 hours, he will be 3 in November! At 3 months old, taken to the ER for an “earache,” the staff quickly realized it was so much worse. C2-3 broken neck, multiple rib fractures, a visible handprint on his throat, and bruises too many to count were just the beginning of what was found. His brain hemorrhaging caused seizures, and his retinas were trying to detach from the back of his eyes. He was flown to Cook Children's Hospital, where he spent the next 4 weeks proving everyone wrong! He was adopted just after his first birthday, and we will spend our entire life advocating for child abuse prevention and getting Kaiden the best treatment possible for a better quality of life.
